The power of a question
When obstacles began making a habit of obstructing my path, I had to start asking myself why? Then, a they began to emerge. Those obstacles slowly began become more manageable. They are still there at present, yet I was asking the wrong questions before. "Why me?" and "What's her problem?" are simply unproductive. Why? These questions are asked in a judgmental tone. They are there to vent frustration. Asking an open minded question with a willingness to accept and act on the information received allows for the growth necessary to move on and become better.

History holds a lot of power over our futures.
History is an amazing thing. It can teach us about ourselves, where we came, from, and if we let it where we are going. For those of us who choose to ignore our past, we are assuredly doomed to repeat the mistakes of countless others.
As has been stated by others wiser than I:
“If I have seen farther than others, it is because I was standing on the shoulders of giants.” ~ Newton Hooke 1676
"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." ~George Santayana 1905
Something worth thinking about.
